Meet Mae, a little lady of 15 years looking for her forever family. Mae arrived at the shelter due to her owners going into a senior residence and they could no longer keep her. Unfortunately, there was no one in their family that could care for her. Mae has quite the character, she can be quite a little grouchy lady in her senior years. Once she gets to know you, she can be a little quirky and plays like a little kitten sometimes! She currently is eating a special food and has special medications as she has been treated for chronic diarrhea. She is now doing a lot better after months of treatments, and she loves her food! She had a haircut when she first arrived due to being full of knots, her hair has since then grown back nice and silky! She also underwent a dental while she was with us and had 12 extractions! Yikes! Her mouth feels much better now, no more sore teeth for Mae. We think Mae would do best in a quite house with no kids or dogs. She can live with cats no problem.
