Vagabond – A treasure to discover Vagabond is a magnificent 2-year-old male cat who finally deserves to set his paws in a loving home. Having known a life as a stray, he is well named, but he is ready to trade his past as an explorer for a soft couch and a patient family. This handsome boy is still nervous about new situations, but behind his shyness hides a kind and endearing cat. He needs time to get used to his environment, but with gentleness and respect, he will be able to build a strong bond with his future family. Once he trusts us, he will reveal all his tenderness and affectionate side. Vagabond gets along well with other cats, which could help him adapt more easily to a home where he will have a feline companion. Cohabitation with dogs and young children is unknown, so it is recommended to proceed with caution and observe his reactions. If you are willing to provide Vagabond with a calm and reassuring environment where he can develop at his own pace, he will be grateful to you for life. 1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $280
  • Cats over 6 months old: $235
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $160
  • Compassionate adoption: $160

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Petsecure Insurance (6 weeks) | Free first veterinary consultation at a Vet et Nous partner clinic within 30 days of adoption.

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $105
  • Guinea pig (female): $15
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $50
  • Rat: $10
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $50
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $520
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $415
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $215

  • Compassionate adoption: $215
