Toxon is a beautiful 2 year old male cat who is still having trouble feeling safe at the shelter. Nervous in the face of the unknown, he needs time to adapt to his environment and the humans around him. However, behind this shyness hides a feline who deserves a chance to evolve in a calm and patient home. Toxon will need an understanding family, ready to give him time to flourish at his own pace. A quiet environment, without too much agitation, would be ideal to allow him to gain confidence and gradually show his true personality. If you have a big heart and the patience to give Toxon a home where he can finally relax and be himself, come meet him at the shelter. 1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $280
  • Cats over 6 months old: $235
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $160
  • Compassionate adoption: $160

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Petsecure Insurance (6 weeks) | Free first veterinary consultation at a Vet et Nous partner clinic within 30 days of adoption.

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $105
  • Guinea pig (female): $15
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $50
  • Rat: $10
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $50
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $520
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $415
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $215

  • Compassionate adoption: $215
