Meet April, a 5-month-old Malinois looking for her forever home. April came to us from a partnering shelter, where she was removed by MAPAQ due to bad living conditions. She was petrified and shut down. After a few weeks she came out of her shell to show her true self, full of beans, smart and affectionate girl!

April is a very smart and active dog. She does great with treat motivation and she is eager to learn! She is always up to something, and needs a family who has the energy and time to properly commit to her, and her training. She needs constant stimulation and lots of exercise. She would be best in a home with someone who is very outdoorsy, and active. She cannot live with children as she is very mouthy and jumpy, more than a normal puppy. Her happy nips can be dangerous around young children so we really prefer her in a home without kids. She is very rough with cats and she is still learning they are not toys, so would also be best in a home without cats. She does good with dogs, but would be best with a dog that can match her energy or strength. She wants to non stop play, and can be very rough so this is important to keep in mind when around other dogs.

We are looking for an experience home for April, who will devote lots of time, and energy into her training. She has so much potential to be an amazing dog and we really want the right home that will guide her in the right direction.
