Gaia is looking for a kind and patient family

Meet Gaia, a beautiful one-year-old cat currently in foster care. 💕 This lovely lady is still timid around humans and will need a family who respects her pace and gives her time to gain confidence.

Gaia doesn’t particularly like being handled. However, she enjoys being petted and readily rubs against people she’s starting to trust. It’s important to carefully observe her body language to respect her boundaries, even though the little swats she used to give are now becoming increasingly rare.

Gaia is very food-motivated and absolutely loves Creamy treats, which are an excellent way to continue her socialization.

She gets along well with other cats. Her compatibility with dogs is unknown, but a home without a dog, or with a very calm and respectful dog, would be preferable. Due to her timid nature, a quiet environment without young children is recommended.

Currently in foster care, it is important to schedule an appointment to meet her.

With time, patience, and lots of love, Gaia could become a wonderful companion for someone ready to offer her the stability she needs.

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Petsecure Insurance (6 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230

  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
