Meet Terrie!

At just 4 months old, Terrie is a gorgeous Husky mix puppy looking for his forever home. Rescued from a MAPAQ seizure at a sled dog kennel, he’s gradually discovering the world around him and is ready to start a new life filled with love.

Terrie is a real ray of sunshine! Very energetic, curious, and playful, he loves exploring his surroundings. He’s a very intelligent puppy who learns quickly… he might even figure out how to open the yard gate if you’re not careful!

An excellent runner, Terrie loves to take off at top speed. Luckily, he’s just as quick to win the hearts of those he meets. Affectionate as can be, he loves receiving cuddles and giving kisses. His favorite toys? Squeaky ones!

He can get a little anxious when left alone, but he calms down with time. A family ready to guide him with gentleness and patience will help him gain confidence.

He enjoys the company of other dogs and would be perfectly happy sharing his home with a canine companion. He has also been introduced to a cat and showed curiosity, while remaining gentle and respectful.

Car rides, however, are not his favorite activity, as he tends to get carsick. With time and positive experiences, he will certainly improve.

Like any young Husky mix, Terrie will need an active, present family ready to provide him with plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and positive reinforcement training so that he can become a wonderful companion.

Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
