🦜 Sombrero is looking for his forever home! 🦜

Meet Sombrero, a handsome male budgie whose age is unfortunately uncertain. He is now looking for a patient and caring home where he can thrive in a safe environment. 💚

Sombrero is a nervous little bird, but also very sweet. He will need a calm environment and a family who will respect his pace so he can gradually gain confidence.

His compatibility with cats, dogs, and children is unknown. As with all birds, we recommend that interactions with other animals are always supervised and that his well-being remains the priority.

One important thing to know about Sombrero: he’s a real foodie! He tends to eat with great enthusiasm, which means he can sometimes look quite puffy after his meals. While this isn’t cause for concern in itself, we still recommend having him examined by a veterinarian specializing in exotic animals to ensure everything is alright and to receive advice tailored to his needs.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54

  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445

  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
