Meet Aquarelle, an adorable little kitten of just 2 months old who lives up to her name perfectly! 🎨💧 This little lady has a very particular fascination with water… She loves drinking so much that she’s developed her own technique: she absolutely has to “dig” in her bowl before she can drink, which results in water being splashed absolutely everywhere around her! 😂💦 Let’s just say Aquarelle is a true artist… but she prefers to paint with water!

Behind her little antics lies a real purring machine. 🥰 Aquarelle adores humans and seeks their company. In fact, when we say someone is “under our skin,” Aquarelle takes the expression literally! If she gets the chance, she’ll literally be glued to you. 😂❤️

Aquarelle gets along with other cats, but she’ll need a little time to adjust and get to know them. She’s not compatible with dogs, and her compatibility with children is currently unknown.

Aquarelle is part of our Compassion adoption program, as she has chronic rhinotracheitis and also has eye problems that will possibly require further veterinary investigation in the future.Her future family will need to be aware of her condition and be prepared to provide the care and attention she may need.

Still very young, Aquarelle will need a loving and secure home where she can continue to grow, explore, and develop her sweet personality. 🏡💕 If you’re looking for a small, affectionate companion with a strong personality and a passion for water activities, Aquarelle might just be the little whirlwind of love you’re looking for! 🐱💦✨

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
