My name is Luko, and I’m a handsome 5-year-old Saint Bernard/Labrador mix! 🐾

What do I love the most? People! I’m a very social boy who absolutely loves being around my humans. I’m always happy to get some attention, and I certainly won’t say no to a good cuddle session! I love leaning in close, getting lots of pets, and spending quality time with my people. If you’re looking for an affectionate dog who loves building a strong bond with his family, we might be a great match! ❤️

With my big size also comes a fair amount of strength, which means there are still a few things I need to work on. Walking nicely on a leash is one of them. I can sometimes rely on my impressive strength, so I’ll need a family who is willing to continue working with me patiently and consistently. With positive training, patience, and plenty of encouragement, I can keep learning and becoming an even better walking buddy!

I’m a loving boy with plenty of affection to give, and I’m looking for a family who will take the time to get to know me, continue working on my training, and give me the wonderful life I deserve. Because of my size, my future family will also need to make sure they have enough space and are comfortable handling a dog of my impressive stature.

I may be a 160-pound Saint Bernard/Labrador mix, but deep down, I’m simply a big baby looking for humans to love and a family who will love me right back. 🥰

Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
