Cooper, a magnificent 1-year-and-10-month-old German Shepherd mix, is officially ready to find his forever family! 🐾

Don’t let his big size intimidate you! Cooper may look like a big dog, but deep down, his size is mostly a way of hiding just how much love he has to give. ❤️

When meeting someone for the first time, Cooper can be a little reserved. He likes to take his time, observe you, and get to know you before approaching. But bring out a few treats, offer him a little playtime, and you’ll quickly see his shell come down! 🥰 Once Cooper gives you his trust, it’s love at first sight. And when Cooper loves… he loves BIG!

Cooper is compatible with other dogs. Introductions should still be done slowly and respectfully, as he may need a few meetings before deciding that the other dog officially deserves the title of best friend. 🐶

As for cats, we do not know if Cooper could live with them. His large size and prey drive could make this type of cohabitation more challenging.

When it comes to children, Cooper would be most comfortable with respectful teenagers who understand a dog’s needs and are able to give him space and respect his pace.

Cooper is also part of our Compassion Adoption Program. This program offers reduced adoption fees for animals with particular needs, including Cooper, who suffers from allergies. ❤️

Cooper may look like a big boy at first glance, but behind that impression is a sensitive, affectionate dog with so much love to give. All he needs now is a family willing to take the time to discover everything he has to offer. ❤️🐾

If you think you could be the family for me, please complete an adoption application. We receive a very large number of applications, which are reviewed according to the order in which they are received and the quality of the answers provided. Only selected applicants will be contacted.

Please note that we do not perform DNA testing at the shelter, so we cannot guarantee his breed.

Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230

  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
