Dexter is looking for his forever home 💛

Dexter is an impressively built hound mix… but don’t let his size fool you. Behind his imposing stature lies a dog with a huge heart, full of gentleness and love. His size only masks all that he has to offer.

He is an incredibly endearing companion who will quickly become as much a part of your heart as he is of your daily life. Dexter loves being near his humans and building strong bonds with them.

Dexter gets along very well with other dogs. He demonstrates excellent canine communication and a balanced play style. He enjoys interacting, playing, and sharing moments with other dogs, while also respecting their boundaries. He is a good communicator and adapts well, which generally makes his interactions positive. Of course, as with any adoption, a proper introduction will be essential to ensure a harmonious life together.

Dexter is not compatible with cats. Due to his large size and strong instincts, cohabitation is not recommended.

Because of his large size and his need for time to adapt to new people, Dexter must live with children aged 14 and older. He will need a patient and understanding family, ready to respect his pace. Older teenagers will be better able to understand his needs and provide him with a reassuring environment.

Dexter is waiting for one thing: a family who will see beyond his size and discover the exceptional dog he is 💫
