Enzo is looking for his forever family 🏡🤎

Hi there, I’m Enzo! 🐾 I’m a gorgeous 1-year-and-7-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog waiting for my second chance.

I ended up at the shelter because my previous family couldn’t manage the dynamics between me, the children, and the other dog in the house. Arriving here was a huge shock for me. I needed time to feel safe, and at first, I didn’t want any physical contact or much attention from humans.

The team chose to respect my pace rather than rushing me. They gave me the time I needed to gently come out of my shell, always respecting my boundaries and needs. 🤎

Then came the moment to see how I’d react around other dogs… and that’s when a whole new side of my personality came out! 🥹🐶

Having another dog around helps me feel so much more confident with humans. Little by little, I started opening up, seeking attention, and showing just what a big, affectionate, cuddly, and playful baby I really am. A true Bernese Mountain Dog—just the way you love them! 🥰

Now, we’re ready to look for my forever family. ❤️

We’re looking for a family that understands that, even though I’ve made huge progress at the shelter, I might need to go through some of that same process again in my new home. I may need time to adjust, patience, and—above all—people who will respect my pace without rushing me.

I also exhibit resource guarding behavior. My future family will need to be committed to my well-being, understand this behavior, and create a safe environment tailored to my needs.

🐶 I could potentially live with another dog, but proper environmental management will be necessary, and compatibility will need to be assessed. 🐱 Living with cats is not an option.

👧 Living with children is not an option.

To ensure a harmonious living situation and allow me to continue thriving in a stable environment, we believe a home without children—and ideally without other dogs—would likely be the best choice for me. However, a family that already has a dog might be considered if they are fully committed and prepared to implement the necessary management strategies.

My story began with a major upheaval, but every day I take another small step forward. 🥹❤️ I keep improving and showing the team that I truly want this second chance.

I simply want the chance to show my forever family what a good boy I am. I, too, deserve a life filled with love, stability, patience, and wonderful days enjoying life. 🤎

Maybe my forever family is you. 🏡🐾
