Jax is the last of three American dogs brought from a shelter in the United States who were sadly abandoned at a dog park in Quebec. 💔🐶 He is likely a Shepherd/Bully mix and is looking for a family who can continue to help him build his confidence and feel safe. 🏡❤️

Like his friends Stormy and Cooper, Jax is a joyful dog with a big personality! 🐾✨ He is completely obsessed with balls 🎾 and could spend all day playing fetch with his favorite toy! His love of play makes him an excellent companion for a family who enjoys playing, training, and providing him with daily mental stimulation. 🧠🐕

Jax is less active than Cooper and Stormy. Even though he loves playing with his ball, he’s also very happy to relax and spend the day resting with his family. 🛋️ He has a lovely balance between his playful side and his ability to enjoy a calm and comforting environment. 🌿

Because of his herding heritage, Jax can be a little wary of strangers and show some protective tendencies at first. 🐕‍🦺 However, once he understands that someone is a friend, he quickly opens up and shows his affectionate, cuddly, and playful side. 🥰

Jax has a similar profile to Stormy and Cooper when it comes to other dogs and cats. 🐶🐱 He is looking for a home without children or a large family, so that he can thrive in a calm, stable, and predictable environment where he can truly flourish. Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
