Hello, I’m Kara! 🐾 I’m a beautiful 3-year-and-2-month-old American Bully mix. Caramel-colored… or rather “Caramilk,” as some like to say! 🤎 That’s actually where my name comes from: Kara. 😉

I have to confess something… At first glance, I might seem a little reserved. I’m not the kind of dog who immediately reveals her whole personality. I like to take the time to observe and understand the people around me and build a strong, trusting bond. 🩷

But those who take the time to get to know me quickly discover a completely different Kara. An incredibly affectionate dog who loves being with her humans. Snuggling up with them is one of my favorite things, and I never miss an opportunity to share cuddles or simply enjoy their company. 🥰

And believe me, I have a funny side too! 🤭 Once I’m comfortable, my true personality shines through, and it’s hard not to smile when you’re with me. I have my own unique way of making each day a little more fun and making everyone around me laugh. ❤️

🐶 I get along well with other dogs, so I could live with a canine companion. Proper guidance and a gradual introduction will be key to getting to know each other and building a beautiful relationship.

🐈 Unfortunately, I can’t live with cats.

👦👧 I’m looking for a family with teenagers who will respect my pace and give me the time to reveal the wonderful dog I am.

Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
