🐾 Myrtille is looking for her forever family! 🐾

Myrtille is a stunning 5-year-old Alaskan Husky mix with a unique and endearing personality. Intelligent, expressive, and full of character, she is very good at communicating what she likes and what makes her feel comfortable. Like many Nordic-type dogs, she appreciates having her own space and forming bonds at her own pace.

Once she feels secure, Myrtille reveals her gentle nature and her capacity to form deep bonds with the humans who understand her. In fact, she developed a wonderful connection with a shelter staff member in just a few days, proving just how loyal and affectionate she can be with people who respect her needs. 💕

Myrtille is part of our Compassionate adoption program due to issues with her hips and hind legs. Prospective adopters must therefore be prepared to accommodate her special needs and ensure the necessary veterinary follow-ups to support her comfort and well-being.

To ensure her well-being, Myrtille is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She would be happiest in a calm environment, free of cats and other dogs. She could also be a good fit for a family with respectful teenagers aged 15 and older who are capable of understanding and respecting her need for space when required.

Active and curious, Myrtille would love to share her life with a family that offers her engaging activities suited to her abilities, stability, and plenty of love. With the right people, she has all the potential to become a loyal and exceptional companion. 🐾❤️

Please note that we do not perform DNA testing at the shelter and therefore cannot guarantee the breed.

Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230

  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
