Hi! My name is Tya, and I’m a beautiful 7-year-old Shar Pei mix. I’m a sweet girl with a gentle heart who enjoys the simple things in life. At first, I may seem a little reserved, but that’s only because I like to take my time getting to know new people. Once I feel comfortable and safe, I’ll show you my affectionate and loving side. I enjoy receiving some gentle scratches, spending time near my humans, and sharing peaceful moments together, while still keeping my little independent side that makes me who I am.
I could share my home with another dog, as long as they have a calm and respectful personality like mine. A meet-and-greet will be required to make sure we are a good match. My behavior with cats is still unknown, but with a slow, gradual introduction and proper management, living with a feline friend could be possible. I could also live with children aged 10 and older who understand the importance of respecting my space and allowing me to adjust at my own pace.
All I’m looking for is a family who will offer me patience, kindness, and lots of love. In return, I promise to be a loyal, calming, and grateful companion who will make every moment together even more special. If you think you have a little space in your heart for me, I can’t wait to fill it. ❤️🐾

Apply for the adoption of this dog

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
