This is Chestnut, an adorable male rabbit who arrived at the shelter after wandering, so his age is unfortunately unknown. Since his arrival, this handsome fellow has experienced several changes and can be stressed by his new environment. The shelter can be overwhelming for a rabbit, and Chestnut needs time to feel safe and find his bearings.
Behind his slightly stressed exterior, however, lies a magnificent rabbit, very affectionate and full of sweetness. Chestnut loves being petted, especially on his head and body, and greatly appreciates quiet moments when his pace is respected. With patience and gentleness, he demonstrates a wonderful ability to bond with humans.
Chestnut is also a curious and playful little explorer! He particularly enjoys cardboard and straw toys, which keep him entertained and occupied. His enclosure is his safe haven: when he feels comfortable and secure, he can stretch out completely, even in the presence of humans. He also seems to enjoy quiet moments when stories are told to him. 🐰❤️
Like all rabbits, Chestnut has his little quirks. Just be careful with your fingers, as he might nibble them if he mistakes them for food. With gentleness and patience, he’ll learn to better understand his environment and reveal his tender, curious, and endearing personality.
He’s not used to living with cats, dogs, or children. Any introduction to other family members should therefore be gradual and supervised.
Chestnut is looking for a calm and understanding family, ready to give him the time he needs to adjust to his new home. If you have a big heart and want to give a second chance to a little companion who deserves to feel loved and safe, Chestnut might just be the rabbit for you! ❤️🏡🐰
