Moka is a lovely 3-year-old female rabbit seeking a calm home that respects her pace. Shy and rather independent, she generally prefers observing her surroundings and having her own space rather than being handled or constantly touched. She appreciates a gentle, low-pressure presence and will need time to build a trusting relationship with her family.

Moka can live with a cat, provided the cat is calm and low-energy. A hectic environment or a cat that constantly tries to play with her could make her uncomfortable. She may also bite if she dislikes a situation or feels cornered or crowded. Therefore, it is important to respect her boundaries and learn to understand her body language.

For this reason, a home without children would be best for Moka, offering her a quiet environment where she can settle in at her own pace. If you are looking for an independent companion and are ready to respect her space and boundaries, Moka might be the perfect rabbit for you!

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Trupanion Insurance (4 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54
  • Others: contact us for the adoption fees for other species of exotic animals

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization (male and female rabbits AND male guinea pigs) | Preventive deworming | Preventive vaccine against Hemorrhagic disease (rabbits) | Microchip (rabbits)

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230
    *Except dogs from the Northern Paw program*
  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
