Meet Yuki, a lion head type rabbit who has been at the shelter since August 2023. She is still looking for her forever home.

Yuki hasn’t had the best start in life. She had been living for 5 to 6 months in nature, on the side of a country road. She must have been so scared, having to fend for herself, staying away from predators and the busy road. When a concerned citizen saw her, they knew she needed help because domestic rabbits do not do well in the wild. That night, she was able to sleep inside, with warm blankets and fresh food. No more fighting for your life outside.

At first Yuki was scared and shy, but with time and patience she understood that the human was going to offer her a roof and green veggies every day. Since Yuki has been with her foster family, she has been learning to be a real domestic rabbit. She is very relaxed when the house is quiet, she does her morning exercise by running around on the carpet and loves enjoying the view outside. Yuki remains an independent and calm rabbit, she is clean in the litter box and does not eat any forbidden items. She allows herself to be pet and held for a short time, it is important to give her a good period of adaptation. She is so charming with her unique beautiful mane.

Since Yuki was found stray, we don’t know how old she is, or what life she had before being tossed outside. But we can say with certainty that she deserves a great family who will spoil her with love and leafy vegetables!
