Nova is part of the Wild Whiskers program, a program dedicated to cats who aren’t yet socialized enough for traditional adoption, but who also deserve a safe and suitable life. These felines are often wary of humans, accustomed to outdoor life, and particularly enjoy the company of other animals.

Nova is a healthy, neutered, and vaccinated 3-year-old male cat. He has received the basic care necessary to ensure his well-being and safety. Although he is reserved, he can thrive in a calm environment, with time and patience, and under your respectful guidance.

Adopting Nova is free of charge, but a voluntary contribution is welcome at your discretion to support the program and the care of the other Wild Whiskers.

To welcome Nova, certain requirements are necessary to guarantee his comfort and safety:

A safe and heated barn, stable, or small farm.

Provide an enclosed space where the cat can acclimate to its new environment during the first few days.

Ensure daily access to dry food and fresh water.

Nova is ready to begin a new life in a safe place, where it can find a comfortable routine and enjoy the company of other animals. With patience and gentleness, it will thrive and live happily in its new surroundings.

Participate to the program

1. Fill out an application form on our website according to the type of animal you would like to adopt.

2. Our team will contact you to make an appointment

A member of our adoption team will contact you as soon as possible to follow up on your request. You will be advised according to your profile.

Adoption hours:
Monday to Friday – 12pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 5pm

*We receive a very large amount of requests. They will be answered based on the order of receipt and the quality of the responses. You will be contacted if your application is approved.

*No animal reservation is possible until the adoption is confirmed in order to maximize the chances of placing our animals in good families.

3. Visit at the shelter

The visit is a time for you to meet our animals, and for our team to go more in depth with certain aspects of your adoption request in order to ensure that the adoption is a success. If the visit is positive, we will proceed with the adoption at the shelter and you will go home with your new companion!

Signing of the adoption contract

Payment of adoption fees (cards preferred)

Purchase of a food bag (mandatory for cats and dogs)

Safe departure of the animal in a carrier (cat, exotic) or on a leash (dog)

Possibility of purchasing certain basic items in our store (litter, transporter, etc.)

CATS

  • Kittens 6 months old and less: $300
  • Cats over 6 months old: $250
  • Senior cats 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $172
  • Compassionate adoption and cats aged 12 and over: no adoption fee

The fees include: Veterinary examination | Sterilization | Basic vaccines and dewormers (preventive) | Microchip | 30 Day Limited Health Guarantee | Petsecure Insurance (6 weeks).

EXOTIC ANIMALS

  • Rabbit: $113
  • Guinea pig (female): $16
  • Guinea pig (male – neutered): $54
  • Rat: $11
  • Compassionate adoption for a rabbit: $54

DOGS

  • Puppy 6 months old and less: $560
  • Dog more than 6 months old: $445
  • Senior dog 7+ years old (Grey Muzzle Mission): $230

  • Compassionate adoption and dogs aged 12 and over: no adoption fee
