Salary: Up to $22/hour depending on experience.
Job type: Full-time, 40 hours per week during the day; Every other weekend.

The SPCA Roussillon is a charitable organization whose mission is to help animals in distress, without owners or neglected. We offer animal services for a territory of more than 35 municipalities in the area. We welcome families from all over Quebec and surrounding provinces to our adoption center, which enabled more than 1,200 animals to find families last year.
We are looking for a dedicated and full-time Animal Health Technician to join our dynamic team as soon as possible! The SPCA Roussillon's mission is to save as many animals as possible by providing them with the highest level of care we can offer.
Description of tasks and responsibilities:
- Register new animals at the shelter (vaccination, deworming).
- Follow shelter biosecurity protocols.
- Administer prescribed treatments to animals of various species (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice).
- Assist veterinarians during examinations.
- Prepare equipment, ensure anesthetic monitoring, and assist veterinarians during sterilizations and other surgeries (amputation, enucleation, cystotomy, etc.) in different species.
- Prepare equipment and perform on-site laboratory tests (cytology, urology, blood tests), catheter placement, blood sampling, and radiographs.
- Perform dental cleanings on dogs and cats.
