My name is Beau, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd full of energy, intelligence, and affection. I’m an active and playful dog, always ready for an adventure or a new challenge. My curiosity is endless, and I love learning new things, especially if a treat is involved! I’ve already learned many commands, and I’m always motivated to learn more. That being said, it’s important for those around me to understand my social needs. I am selective with other dogs. There have been a few incidents in the past, but I can get along with a dog that respects my space and my body language. For this to work, it’s crucial that my owners take the time to properly manage introductions and the environment. If done correctly, cohabitation is possible. As for cats, I’ve lived with four of them, but I tend to chase small animals like squirrels, which could lead to potential predatory behavior. It’s important to introduce me to cats slowly and carefully to ensure a harmonious coexistence. I’m not at all comfortable with young children, as their fast and unpredictable energy makes me uneasy. However, I can get along with teenagers, as long as they respect my limits and body language. Parental supervision and good training will be essential to make sure everything goes smoothly and respectfully. I’m an adorable and affectionate dog once trust is built, but it’s also important to know that I have certain sensitive spots where I prefer not to be touched. If you want to give me cuddles, I’m all for it, but please respect my space. I’m a bundle of joy, a loyal and loving dog, but I need a family who understands my needs and is willing to invest the time and effort necessary to help me thrive. If this sounds like you, I’m sure I’ll be a wonderful and loving companion for you. We receive a very large amount of requests.
