Hello, my name is Bayley and I’m 4 months old. I’m currently in a foster home, where they’re slowly getting to know me better. I’ve been described as a fearful cat: I still have a lot of difficulty trusting humans. It’s not that I don’t want to… it’s just that I need time, gentleness, and patience.

I feel most comfortable when I have access to high places, where I can observe what’s going on from a distance. A quiet home, without dogs or young children, would be ideal for me, as I jump easily and need peace and quiet to feel safe. I get along well with other cats, and their presence might even help me gain confidence… but it’s not a requirement.

My foster family will give you several tips and advice to help me settle in. However, you should understand that I’m not a cat who will immediately jump onto your lap. I sometimes spit when people try to pet me, but I’m slowly becoming less suspicious. For now, I’m not ready to be hugged yet… but as soon as your back is turned, I’ll run and grab my toys to show you that I’m happy and want to have fun.

I promise you, I’m ready to make an effort for a family who will give me a chance. And I have to admit, my sweet tooth can be a great asset to help me progress!

I’m in a foster home, so it’s important to make an appointment to come meet me. I can’t wait to find my forever family… maybe it will be you?
