My name is Doughie, and I’m a beautiful 10-year-and-7-month-old German Shepherd mix.

My story began with heartbreak—I was sadly abandoned in an apartment and had to be rescued by the shelter. But now, I’m ready to start a brand-new chapter filled with love and companionship.

Despite my age, I still have plenty of energy and a true zest for life. I absolutely love going on walks, especially when I’m with people I care about, and I remain an active and curious companion.

It’s recommended that I be the only pet in the home, as I enjoy having all the attention to myself. As for children, since my past with them is unknown, a meet-and-greet at the shelter would be the best way to see if we’re a good match.

If you’re looking to give a loving senior dog a second chance at a forever home, I just might be the perfect candidate for you. Come meet me—I’ll be waiting with open paws.

Doughie is part of our gray muzzle mission, which reduces adoption fees to give our older dogs the chance to find a family more quickly!
