Titi, a 6 year young shih tzu looking for his forever family.

His first 6 years of his life he was used as a backyard breeding dog.  He lived in a barn without any daylight or access to the outdoors.  He lacked any human contact or socialization.  He was then sold on Kijiji, before he was brought to the shelter.  All that he has gone though, it is understandable he is afraid of humans.

Titi was treated for having blood in his urine, with a long course of antibiotics due to also having a swollen prostate.

Titi has spent the past two months in a foster family, where he is learning how to be a dog.  He is afraid of the leash; he doesn’t like being touched and will try to run away when you approach him to pick him up.  By being around other dogs, it has helped him come out of his shell.  He follows them around and is learning from them!  He started doing ‘zoomies’ the past few weeks, watching him have fun is just awesome!  He is still having accidents in the house, but he is slowly getting better!

Titi needs a family that has a dog that is close to his size, he has gotten attached to a dog in his foster home, and it really shows that is helps him.  Titi is good with cats, he doesn’t seem interested at all.  We suggest a calm home with no children.  A fenced yard is necessary for Titi, for his safety as if he panics, he will take off!
