SPCA Roussillon is a registered charity whose mission is to help animals in distress, abandoned, or without owners. We provide animal services to over 37 municipalities in the region.
We are looking for someone to join our team as an Animal Care Attendant and Customer Service Representative.
Job description - Animal Care Attendant:
- Ensure that cat and dog enclosures are cleaned daily according to our biosecurity protocols
- Make sure that all adoptable cats and dogs have everything they need for their well-being
- Socialize adoptable animals and become familiar with their personalities
- Organize activities and enrichment for animals at the shelter
Job description - Customer Service:
- Greet clients with respect and courtesy
- Open files for stray or abandoned animal intakes
- Guide and advise families through the adoption process
- Assist with the creation of content for the SPCA’s website and social media
- Perform any other related tasks
Desired Qualifications:
- Respect for all animals and concern for their well-being
- Comfort working around animals
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Availability to work on weekends
- Bilingualism, spoken and written (French and English)
- 1 year of experience in a similar role (an asset)
- Animal care courses (an asset)
